Bit by bit travel in and out of France and Europe is improving.
Singapore Airlines SQ334, Singapore-Paris, originally scheduled to depart at 2340hrs (Singapore time), is now retimed to depart 0010hrs (Singapore time)
Emirates expects to operate to Paris and Nice on the 21st April.
Air New Zealand sadly is a little slow in letting us know what flights if any will be operating today.
Qantas services to and from London Heathrow and Frankfurt on 20, 21 and 22 April will be cancelled.
As well a special flight corridor has been established between Paris and Nice.
As for the marvelous French Rail services, apart from the Eurostar operating well and with more capacity, TGV services to the south east of France, including Provence, Rhone Valley and Nice are still affected by French strike action. Cheers to the French Rail staff!! Not!
I heard a story yesterday that there was a client who paid 8000 Euro for a helicopter ride from Monte Carlo to Barcelona in order to connect with a flight through to the US! A man’s got to do what a man’s got to do!
